"Weak "D" but observable.
This is a weak "D" variety which is Die Pair #1, Die Pair 3 or Due Pair 4, and delineates a weak reverse. This coin had a light "D" mint mark at one time but through use the "D" mint mark has worn off completely. This coin is very different than the Die pair #2 variety where the Die had a worn off "D" mint mark. Die pair #2 comes directly from the mint without a "D" mint mark. If you have questions don't hesitate to call me this is one of my favor subjects in the Lincoln Cent series.
